When you meet someone who’s been Looney and Mad about drawing their whole life, you know you’ve found someone special.
Michael grew up passionate about anything and everything cartoons and illustration: captivated by every Chuck Jones Looney tunes episode and fascinated by every Mort Drucker comic strip in Mad Magazine. As a young child, he was always drawn towards creating and drawing images – including sketching C.N. (Canadian National) Train Engines for his very proud Dad – who is still his biggest inspiration to this day.
After graduating with his Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, he began his professional career as a Graphic Designer and Art Director.
Michael likes to draw fun, whimsical, playful characters, blending stylized shapes with realistic texture and exaggerated movements. Whether human or animal, gigantic, miniature or anywhere in between, his characters always have a backstory and motivation.
